The Goals and Objectives
of the Left Front

Our goal is to build a just Socialist society.

We are convinced that our country needs a single, strong, radical and modern Left movement. The growing numbers of protest activity indicate that just like one hundred years ago, the people of Russia are not ready to endlessly endure oppression and bullying.

We call for the creation of a Socialist society based on the combination of public property, political and productive democracy. This will ensure the rapid growth of the economy, science, culture and a breakthrough in high technology, as well as a fundamentally new level of social justice.

We look forward and invite all those who share left-wing views, who want a free and equitable future for themselves and their children. To all those who still have the courage and the conscience. There is room for everyone!

LARGE SCALE NATIONALISATION

The nationalisation of natural resources and strategic sectors of the economy in order to make the work of state enterprises transparent and controlled by the people.

CONTROL AND PLANNING

Carrying out the management of state companies on the basis of a democratically organised planning system for the benefit of the public.

THE BANKING SYSTEM

The nationalisation of banks and setting a minimum credit rate for domestic producers.

CREDIT AMNESTY

The declaration of complete credit amnesty for individuals and the prohibition of debt collector agencies.

A REVISION OF THE RESULTS OF PRIVATISATION

An audit and review of the results of illegal privatisation following the return of stolen funds.

PROGRESSIVE TAXATION

To exempt those paid below a living wage from tax and introduce tax on super profits by up to 50%.

A DECENT SALARY AND PENSION

The minimum wage and pension should be equal to the real subsistence minimum, which should be increased to 30,000 roubles and indexed annually according to the current inflation rate.

TO MODERATE THE APPETITES OF OFFICIALS

To adhere the salaries of public officials to the subsistence minimum. The salaries of officials of any level must not exceed the set up minimum by more than five times.

AVAILABLE HOUSING UTILITIES/SERVICES

The payment for housing and strata services should exceed more than 5% of the family income and there should be no more than one change in rates every five years. There should also be a transparent mechanism of the rates formation.

OVERCOMING CORRUPTION

The implementation of criminal liability for officials for illegal enrichment as well as the introduction of the confiscation of the property of those (as well as their close relatives) charged with corruption and economic crimes.

REDUCED WORKING DAY

The gradual reduction of the working hours as the only possible mechanism for combating unemployment in the context of technological progress.

THE PROTECTION OF WORKERS’ RIGHTS

The reformation of labour legislation and ensuring the effective right to form a trade union and the right to strike.
